CONGRATS ICEBURGH AND THE PENGUINS!!!

My utmost congratulations go out to the entire Pittsburgh Penguins organization, including IceBurgh, one of the best darn mascots in the NHL, for their Stanley Cup clinching victory on Friday night.
Even though I was unable to watch the game myself because I was working a late shift at night, I was told at my workplace from someone who was receiving text alerts, and that made the entire night. It was mostly a slow, boring day at work, so that made it SO much better. If IceBurgh were right next to me in that moment, I would have probably given him one of the biggest hugs he's ever received.
It was also simply amazing to follow his tweets on Twitter and just hear the confidence exuding from him as the series went on. I always knew that the series was NOT over when Detroit had a 2-0 lead, contrary to what all the media "gurus" were saying, ESPECIALLY Sports Illustrated who put the Red Wings on the cover that said "Wings close in on Stanley Cup Number 12." How'd THAT turn out, SI? Did you not remember that you've put cover jinxes on tons of people and athletes?
Anyway...IceBurgh, congrats to you and to the entire organization. Well played, well deserved, well done. You guys showed that if you keep fighting, keep believing, and keep going, the ultimate dream and goal can be realized.
An applause, a standing ovation, these words...it doesn't say enough for how I feel. But sometimes that's all a man, and a fan, can give.
Congrats and best of luck in the repeat quest next season. :-)
